New ‘Loki’ trailer teases Owen Wilson, time-vacation

It is about time.

Disney+ has unveiled a new trailer for its “Loki” series starring Tom Hiddleston, 40, and it showcases the MCU’s snarkiest participant on a time-bending wild journey.

As the trailer exhibits, it all ties back again to the fist “Avengers,” when Loki was a much more clear-cut villain. The Tesseract gadget from that movie established a number of distinct realities and timelines. The “Loki” trailer exhibits our key guy (Hiddleston) taken into the headquarters of a mysterious bureaucratic corporation recognized as the Time Variance Authority, or “the Timekeepers.”

There, he’s introduced just before a mustached Owen Wilson, 52, co-starring as Mobius, who functions for the business.

“We guard the proper stream of time,” he points out to Loki. “You picked up the Tesseract, breaking fact. I want you to enable us deal with it.”

When Loki — understandably — asks, “why me?” Mobius tells him, “I have to have your exceptional Loki perspective.”

The tone of the clearly show is an action-thriller with some time-bending and comedic elements, which include Loki’s signature just one-liners, (“It is adorable that you feel you could possibly manipulate me,” he says at just one place).

Gugu Mbatha-Uncooked (greatest-regarded for the “Black Mirror” tearjerker episode “San Junipero”) also co-stars as a member of the Time Variance Authority. Chris Hemsworth’s Thor is not proven in the trailer, and there’s no phrase still on regardless of whether he may well make an visual appeal in his brother’s present.

The collection will be 6 episodes, and a next period is currently in growth. It’s the MCU’s third present, after the insanely well known “WandaVision” and “The Falcon and the Wintertime Soldier.”

“Loki” will premiere on Disney+ June 11.
