Airstream eStream is first US electric-powered travel trailer

Airstream is testing the eStream electric travel trailer.

Airstream is tests an electric powered journey trailer that could go off-grid for weeks at a time, park alone into a tenting location and assist propel by itself down the street.

The trailer, called the eStream, would be the initial electric powered-run camper in the U.S., according to the company.

“You will find almost nothing like it in the business,” reported Bob Wheeler, CEO and president of the Jackson Middle, Ohio, firm. “We’re really at the commence of the electrical RV movement.”

Airstream introduced the trailer at an RV exhibit in Tampa two weeks back. 

The 22-foot-long trailer, in Airstream’s singular “silver bullet” design, would consist of batteries under the floor that would propel the trailer’s two wheels, noticeably reducing the ability demanded to tow the trailer. The run wheels would also deliver additional traction and more breaking power.
