Cafe entrepreneurs to receive Rotary’s 2020 Support Award

Diane Pacifico Marmann, president of the Mineola-Backyard garden Metropolis Rotary Club announces co-recipients of Rotary’s 30th once-a-year Neighborhood Assistance Award.

Diane Pacifico Marmann, president of the Mineola-Back garden Metropolis Rotary Club, is delighted to announce the future presentation of its yearly Group Provider Award to the proprietors of two very long-time Yard City and Mineola “eateries.” The most deserving honorees are Greg Bavaro, owner of Garden Town Pizza and Tony Lubrano, operator of Mineola’s Piccola Bussola restaurant.

Founded in 1991, Rotary’s annual award signifies the spirit of volunteerism and dedication to local community. Greg Bavaro and Tony Lubrano exemplify the requirements for this award getting shown numerous products and services to their respective communities and over and above. As the 30th co-honorees, these remarkable gentlemen will be part of the roster of 29 past Rotary community assistance recipients.

Subsequent month, on August 24, Rotary will keep another party featuring the culinary specialties of co-honoree Tony Lubrano’s Picolla Bussola in Mineola.
