Fans adamant Ryan Reynolds time travelling in Wrexham snap
Football fans have joked that Wrexham owner Ryan Reynolds has travelled back in time, again, after the club tweeted a squad picture from 1878.
Wrexham tweeted: “On this day in 1878, we won the first-ever Welsh Cup Final, with a last-gasp 1-0 victory over Druids.” And fans were quick to notice what seemed to be a familiar face in the bottom corner of the picture.
And fans joked Reynolds has been time travelling again – after the release of his latest film on Netflix. ‘The Adam Project’ sees Reynolds character travel back in time to save the future – with shenanigans along the way.
“You’ve watched the Adam Project, right? Time travel is the only feasible explanation,” one fan tweeted.
“So @VancityReynolds successfully time travelled to the year 1878. It’s actually a deleted scene in The Adam Project,” another joked.
However, Wrexham were quick to dispel any time travelling theories: “We can confirm that’s not @VancityReynolds on the front row.” But that wasn’t enough to convince one fan, who replied: “I’m not sure, I feel like the Reynolds-verse is real.”

Reynolds was left with ‘9 years off his life’ after Wrexham produced a spectacular comeback over the weekend.
The Welsh side had found themselves 5-2 down against Dover over the weekend – but 91st and 98th-minute goals spun the game on his head.
Wrexham somehow claimed the three points with a 6-5 win.
