Mount Juliet Estate and BMW Group Ireland raise over €35,000 for LauraLynn

Mount Juliet Estate has chosen LauraLynn Ireland’s Children’s Hospice as it’s charity partner. The staff at historic Estate have participated in the 100K in May challenge and In October 2022, the team at Mount Juliet Estate and the BMW Group Ireland, the Mount Juliet Estate car partner, joined forces to compete in a charity golf tournament raising an impressive €35,797 for LauraLynn.

The BMW and Mount Juliet team met at Hunter’s Yard at 8am for breakfast and driving range practice for those who needed it! Kicking off at 9.30am to a shotgun start, teams put their skills to the test on the Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course which was recently host to the 2022 Irish Open.

Afterwards, a delicious lunch created by Chef Andy Nolan and his team, was served in the Calmont Suite in Hunter’s Yard. Comedian Barry Murphy of Après Match fame was the guest speaker who oversaw the auction and prize-giving.

Mr. Mark Dunne the General Manager of Mount Juliet Estate said, ‘Each year, the team at Mount Juliet Estate choose a charity partner and dedicate activity throughout the year to fund raise. LauraLynn was a charity that members of team were keen to support as they do incredible work providing a much-needed service for children and families who require specialist care. We were delighted to be able to partner with the BMW Group in this fund-raiser, which was a great success, raising vital funds for LauraLynn.”

Kevin Davidson, Managing Director BMW Group Ireland said, “We are humbled by the work LauraLynn does in providing respite, home support, crisis, and end-of-life care to children with life-limiting conditions and their families across Ireland. We are thrilled we have been able to raise a significant amount of money for this amazing Charity. We were very appreciative to partner with Mount Juliet Estate and making this event possible.”

Gillian Neary, Head of Corporate and Community Fundraising, LauraLynn Ireland’s Children’s Hospice said, “BMW Group Ireland has been partnering with LauraLynn since 2021 supporting many different initiatives and fundraisers during that time.  In 2022, the team at Mount Juliet Estate, also chose to begin a new partnership with LauraLynn and the BMW Group Ireland and Mount Juliet Estate Charity Golf Event offered a unique opportunity for a special collaboration between these two valued partners.  LauraLynn relies heavily on the kind support of businesses in Ireland, and we are grateful to the staff and management in both organisations for their tremendous efforts in delivering a very successful fundraising event and a day enjoyed by all.  Partnerships like these make a huge difference for children with life-limiting conditions and their families, in helping to ensure the continued delivery of vital palliative care and hospice services to children and families across the country.”
