Thieves make off with trailers full of beef in Grand Island | Grand Island Local News
3 semi-tractors and three trailers crammed with beef were being taken by intruders in Grand Island on Thursday or Friday of last 7 days.
As of Monday, the a few trucks had been recovered, but at minimum a person trailer was still lacking. No arrests had been produced, and a large sum of beef was gone.
All three tractors have been taken from 1515 E. Fourth St. 1 of these vehicles was connected to a trailer, which was also taken.
The two unattached tractors were taken to Midwest Categorical, where by they ended up connected to trailers and taken absent. Midwest Express is at 2110 E. Freeway 30.
Two of the tractors are owned by Francisco Erives. The other tractor is owned by Ariel Monteagudo Armenteros.
One particular of the tractors, a 2016 Volvo, was recovered in Lancaster County on Sunday. The connected trailer in the beginning contained more than $230,000 value of beef from JBS. Most of that beef, if not all, had been eradicated, said Capt. Jim Duering of the Grand Island Law enforcement Office.

Right before the thefts, the two trailers taken from Midwest Specific were also crammed with beef.
Of the two semi-tractors taken from 1515 E. Fourth St., just one was valued at $70,000 and the other one at $50,000. The two experienced the keys remaining in them.
In addition to Grand Island law enforcement, the crimes are also staying investigated by the Nebraska Condition Patrol.
Related crimes have been dedicated the last various weeks in Omaha and in Colfax County, Duering explained.
