During the 8 months of the Covid-19 Pandemic, Rotary has managed to keep connected – and afloat.
Given that departing from its normal lunch conferences at the Garden Town Lodge past March 9, when Mayor Theresa Trouve served as our final in-particular person guest speaker, the Mineola-Backyard garden Metropolis Rotary Club has held to its schedule of keeping conferences on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of just about every thirty day period – just about, on Zoom.

Fundraising, which allows Rotary to contribute to its numerous expert services – our mission, has just about arrive to a halt – at minimum briefly. GSA Awards Postponed
With regret, we experienced no decision but to postpone the awarding of Rotary’s “Community Provider Award” to our two outstanding honorees – Greg Bavaro, operator of our very own Backyard CityPizza and Tony Lobrano, operator of Mineola’s Piccola Bussola cafe which was tragically wadestroyed by fire just lately. We deliver our sincerest condolences to Tony who is in the process of rebuilding this Mineola landmark restaurant. We appear ahead to rescheduling this coveted honoring which each gentlemen so richly ought to have.
