On March 9, the COVID-19 reaction crew introduced the revision of specified travel guidelines for school and personnel.

College and employees will no more time be demanded to quarantine or show a negative check following touring and in advance of returning to function, the e-mail stated.

The e mail mentioned college and staff members are inspired to get a COVID-19 examination right before returning to function if they are in a high-danger setting.

“Throughout the semester, we have not seen evidence of transmission of COVID in our college and staff members inhabitants or from faculty and staff to college students,” the electronic mail explained. “Therefore, we will align our travel policy with the new PA DOH recommendations, which clear away quarantining and tests demands for college and employees traveling out-of-condition or internationally.”

Student vacation restrictions will remain the exact for the time currently being.

If a scholar chooses to go away campus, they are expected to quarantine for 10 days or right until they receive a negative test, the e-mail mentioned.

“Given our household and congregate placing and acknowledging the on and off-campus interactions that come about between students who are each living on campus and with roommates off campus, we are not revising our scholar travel policy at this time,” the e mail reported. “That is, we continue to suggest students not to vacation absent from the Bethlehem region, except for crisis situation, as this will reduce the risk of an infection and transmission of the coronavirus.”

According to the COVID-19 Dashboard, as of March 9, there are 19 total lively scenarios between students—11 between students on campus and 8 amid college students dwelling off campus.

Spring split was cancelled this semester to limit the variety of pupils traveling away from campus, but there will be extra details about Wellness Week that will get started the 7 days of March 22, the email claimed.

“We figure out this would traditionally be a time for a lot of to disconnect from their reports to recharge and reconnect with household and mates in person,” the e-mail said. “We are hopeful for the spring months in advance and committed to supporting pupils for the duration of this time as we get the job done alongside one another to assure a safe and sound and successful remainder of the spring semester.”
